The comprehensive guide to golfing in Japan.

The idea for the site came partly out of frustration, partly out of an expressed need from fellow foreign golfers here in Japan. Frustration over the difficulty of finding information on courses and the almost impossibility of making reservations in English.

With almost no information in English available on golf in Japan it has been a logistical nightmare for expats and non Japanese to locate, reserve and get directions to a course in any area of Japan. With a large golfing community of foreign residents here in Japan wishing to do so, this site presents a long awaited, natural progression and an advancement to the Japanese golf industry. The site is in English only, as there are at least five or six similar sites currently available in Japanese.

In this site you can find information and help on how to improve your golf experiences in Japan as well as interesting features and articles. Our ambition is to make this a true "one stop shop for worry free golf" for expats and visitors from all around the world. With some of the most breath taking golf available anywhere, here in Japan, we want you to enjoy easy access to an "informed" round of golf at courses that welcome you. Take advantage of our ever expanding "free" reservation system.

To keep this site current, attractive, interactive and expanding, we need the help of, and rely on, people who play golf here in Japan. The rating of courses, in a reliable fashion, is achieved with input form players here in Japan and provides a true all around rating system from the international golfers perspective, to those of us here and the world!

Who are behind it?

The original idea and creation of the golf site was developed by Clas G. Bystedt, an entrepreneur, golf enthusiast and a 20 year resident of Japan. He has been involved in organizing a number of golf events in Japan, most notably the DailmlerChrysler Cup - The Annual North America-Europe Golf Challenge in Japan.

In October 2017 Golf in Japan became part of Air Golf Media and quickly modernized to provide the same great information and resources in a more device friendly format on a secure and up to date platform with future development potential.

Through cooperation and perseverance, we believe we will have more resources to develop this site, improving on its promotion, ranking and visibility, whilst giving added value to its sponsors and advertisers. We take pride in helping open and perhaps "modernize" this world-class and once closed off industry for "all" the golfers of the world.

Please enjoy the site and pass it along to a friend!
