Shin Peoria monthly winner to get ¥100,000 cash!
EastWood Country Club has been home to the Jarman International Charity Cup since 2018.
The monthly tournament raises funds for Mirai no Mori, a non-profit organization that organizes fun, educational outdoor programs for deserving youth throughout Japan. Jarman International invite a growing list of beginner to advanced golfers living in Japan as well as those here on visits who want to grow their Japan network via this welcoming event. Please contact them below if you would like to be added to the list.
As of April 2020, they have added a "virtual" aspect to the cup. This way, small groups and individuals can enjoy the thrill of friendly competition while maintaining social distance. Please check the link below to join in the cup and maybe win the Jarman trophy and monthly prize of 100,000 yen!
Virtual Cup Details
Any player who plays a round at Eastwood country club is eligible to submit their scorecard for a chance to win the cup and the ¥100,000 prize. It's that simple. The format is the new ‘Shin’ Peoria system' (explained here) popular in Japan, which means handicaps go out the window and essentially give everyone a fighting chance of winning!
What you have to do:
1. Book your tee time by emailing the Jarman team here: info [at] jarman-international [dot] com
2. Enjoy your game!
3. You must submit a clean scorecard attested by your playing partner, take a picture of it and send it to the team before the end of the month.
(The Jarman International team will do the calculations so no need to do anything further. The winner will be announced in the first week of the following month).

Information
Getting to EastWood Country Club:
By train: From Tokyo station, take the Tohoku shinkansen to Utsunomiya station (50 min.).
The club provides a complimentary shuttle bus from the station to the club (30 min.). Please contact the club for advance shuttle bus reservation.
By car: 1.5 hour drive from Tokyo. Take the Tohoku expressway to the Kamikawachi exit (ETC card required). The course is a 5-minute drive from the interchange.
Fee:
Depending on what day you play, the round fee is between ¥7,500 and ¥14,900 per person. (fees change during the year, so please refer to our website or contact us for pricing information)
Delicious lunch, Japanese hot spring bath, cart fees and taxes are included.
