Playing impression:The first tee #1 is a Par 4, 310 yard hole with 1 Penalty markers down the left side and OB on the right. A 200 yard tee shot will leave you in the best position (also the flattest area) for a 110-115 yard approach shot into this large green. The tee ground faces a little right with the prevailing winds also left to right so keep your tee shot down the left side. The second hole tee shot aims directly at Mt. Fuji and is a reachable par 5 for some. Use the bank on the right and let your ball run.

The middle holes on this course are surprisingly flat for a mountain course and the surrounding holes will test any ones game and course management skills. Bring your camera and your thinking cap! A conservative strategy is basically the best way to play this beautiful mountain course and "definitely" read the course playing guide (in English) provided in each cart. Hole by hole information and advise on distances and targets will help with your club selection and "hopefully" keep you out of trouble and in the best position for your next shot.

Strategist golfers, like Jack Nicklaus, have often said they love courses like this as you can play each hole many different ways, and times, and never get bored! Priced well for the over all experience and proximity to Tokyo. A must play for any ex-pat or traveling golfer who wants to play golf with the best Mt. Fuji views in the Gotemba valley. Also with Gotemba Golf Club right next door, as well as excellent accommodation options nearby at Gotemba Kogen Resort, you might consider staying overnight and playing both courses...
