| Description: | Gotemba Golf Club is situated in one of Japan's most famous country retreat areas. The area known as Gotemba is located at the base of Mt Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. Just a little over an hour from Tokyo, the Course is a true hillside Japanese Golf Club that offers a good challenge with incredible views. A must play while you are here in Japan! This golf course is a traditional Japanese Hillside Golf Course with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji on every turn. The course offers an array of holes ranging from basic short holes through to challenging par fives, that although not long in length, they require accurate shots to score well. Gotemba has a one green configuration featuring unusually large bent grass greens.
The course is very challenging of the tee and often requires the consideration of both the land lie as well as the prevailing winds. The courses starting holes 1st and 10th start at the clubhouse and the 9th and 18th finish there striking a balance between uphill and downhill holes.
*Enjoy easy access from Tokyo by direct train (Asagiri Odakyu Romance Car) or bus (Odakyu Tomei Highway Bus) with many key activities within close proximity to the golf course including: hot springs, hotels a micro brewery (Gotemba Kogen Reosrt), shopping (Gotemba Premium Factory Outlets) and Fuji Speedway. Great location with rental clubs and on course round lessons in English available!
