Oak Village G.C. in Chiba

I would definitely like to play here again. The course was in great condition and had some beautiful holes. The layout is varied and challenging as are the greens especially if you don't hit the tier the pin is positioned on (as mentioned in another review). The weekend rate of 19,000 was a little pricey, but it's a great course about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Tokyo and you get your money's worth.

An unbelievable golf experience. Mr Muirhead must have been on lsd with an unlimited budget. Course in beautiful condition, with memorable holes. Play from the back tees where you can to fully appreciate the course and be truly challenged. Greens can be tough if you don't hit the tier the pin is positioned on. Like most of Japan be prepared for about 15 mins per hole and the hour or so for lunch (played on a Sunday). Even an horrific Aqua Line traffic jam could not negate the joy of playing this course.

An excellent golf course if you like the challenges of water hazards, deep bunkers, undulating fairways and tough greens. Well-maintained, considering the course is packed throughout the week. Play on a weekday when the pin placements tend to be tougher than on weekends (when the flag is almost always in front to speed up play).

Superb course is extremely challenging with a lot of water. In great condition and also played at a decent speed considering how busy it was.

This course was overly penal, but still fun to play. Can be extremely slow. Most players shoot 10 to 15 strokes above their handicap.

Very interesting Desmond Muirhead layout. Some memorable holes such as the island fairway par-4 hole make it a fun round. Highly recommended for a weekday when the fees are very low.

One of the most beautiful and fun courses I've played in Japan. This is not easy and not your typical course - many elevated tee boxes, varying perspectives, floating greens -all set within a lush forest and guided by genki caddies. All this makes a hard course fun.

one of the beasts of chiba. from the tips with some wind hhhahahaha utterly impossible. the course is in great nick, food tops , english bahhhhhhh.., the greens are loaded with elephants, the fairways will ive seen wider landing stirps on ropongi rip rips on a thurs night form the tips. value for money is ver ygood if ur a masochist ull love this thing, the par 3s.hahahahahaah good luck! worth a visit or two....
