well, after 8 years of waiting to play this .i must say dissapointment was not on the agenda. drivng range they have let run loose, but its perfectly good. putitgng greens absolutely super in the little grass catacombs. the course layout is veyr tough, NO OB. just play the course like a golf course. perfect. quality of fairwasy was spot on. bunkers perfect. greens in great shape , not that fast but if they were . wd all shoot 2- more than we do, huge undulations.. this is in my top5 not a problem.

Consider this to be one of the best designed courses in Japan. Every hole is lined with beautiful trimmed Japanese pines, and the entire course is bent grass. Most of the holes exemplify risk/reward in its highest form, especially off the tee. The greens are not especially fast, but have lots of undulation and many are multi-tiered. The shorter holes seem to have the most difficult greens. Things I don`t like about the course: the bent grass is not in good condition, far from Tokyo, play can be a bit slow. But well worth the trip up and the sister course Horai is also highly recommended.

One of my top 3 in Asia. The view of the course from the restaurant gets your blood going. Driving range is perfect. Challenging layout, punishing greens. Professional staff. The motel-style overnight facilities just outside the course is great value for money.

Got to agree w/'Golfer" below: leaves all Chiba/Ibaraki courses trailing in its wake; great value for money; terrific condition; proper, INTERESTING holes/layout; not easy but v rewarding; great views; best I've played in Japan.

Ive played a lot of courses in Japan, and this is by far the best one. Blows Calendonia and Narasawa away!

Lots of trees and narrow. A good test of golf - play with Horai course - even more difficult
